Why Custom UV-Stabilized Insect Net Becomes Must-Have for Modern Agriculture ?
As global agriculture shifts toward eco-friendly, low-pesticide planting modes, physical pest control solutions have become a core trend in modern crop protection. According to the latest agricultural market data, the global agricultural insect netting market is growing steadily at a CAGR of nearly 8% and is expected to exceed USD 5 billion by 2034. Driven by stricter food safety regulations and rising demand for organic farming, more commercial farmers, greenhouse operators and home gardeners are abandoning traditional chemical insecticides and choosing high-performance insect nets for sustainable planting.
To meet the diversified pest prevention and crop protection needs of global growers, we have upgraded our full-series agricultural insect nets, optimizing material quality, mesh specification and size flexibility to provide reliable, cost-effective physical barrier solutions for all planting scenarios.
Our insect nets are made of premium virgin HDPE material with professional UV-stabilized and anti-aging treatment, solving the common problems of ordinary nets such as easy aging, brittleness and fading under long-term sun exposure. The enhanced weaving technology ensures uniform mesh holes, high tensile strength and strong wind resistance, with a service life of 3–5 years for outdoor continuous use and reusable for multiple planting seasons, greatly reducing long-term farming costs.

Application Effects and Techniques of Insect Net in Protected Vegetable Cultivation
2026-08-12
The insect-proof net is a new type of covering material manufactured by drawing and weaving polyethylene (PE). It looks similar to window screen. It boasts high tensile strength, UV resistance, heat resistance, water resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-aging properties. Non-toxic and odorless, it has a service life of 4 to 6 years. It retains the merits of shade nets while overcoming their drawbacks, making it worthy of extensive promotion.
1. Covering Methods and Effects
Insect-proof nets are mainly used to cover small and medium-sized tunnels. Full-cycle continuous covering is recommended. Its main effects are as follows:
(1) Pest Prevention
Summer and autumn witness frequent outbreaks of pests such as imported cabbageworms, diamondback moths, Spodoptera litura, cabbage moths and beet armyworms. After covering with insect-proof nets, the fine mesh and year-round coverage block adult pests from flying or crawling into the growing area, forming an artificial barrier in the field to effectively prevent pest invasion. Nets of 20–30 mesh can prevent damage from major pests inside greenhouses, including leafminers, aphids, flea beetles, imported cabbageworms and diamondback moths, achieving excellent pest control results.
(2) Prevention of Viral Diseases
Vegetable viral diseases are generally transmitted by aphids, planthoppers, whiteflies and other pests. By blocking these pests, insect-proof nets cut off transmission routes of viral diseases and reduce their incidence in vegetables.
(3) Reduction of Pesticide Consumption
Without insect-proof nets, vegetable production relies heavily on insecticides, especially in summer and autumn. Frequent pest outbreaks increase cultivation difficulty, leading to frequent and heavy application of chemical pesticides. With insect-proof net covering, pest populations drop sharply or pests fail to appear. This greatly cuts insecticide usage. In some cases, no insecticides are needed throughout the growing season, and vegetable quality is improved accordingly.
(4) Resistance against Typhoons, Heavy Rains and Hail
In summer, strong winds, heavy rains and hail cause mechanical injuries to vegetables, resulting in lodging and seedling death. Thanks to the fine mesh and high mechanical strength of insect-proof nets, they perform remarkably well against heavy rain erosion. During the plum rain season, concentrated heavy rainfall often causes severe losses or total crop failure for leafy vegetables. When covered by insect-proof nets, raindrops strike the net and turn into fine drizzle with greatly reduced impact force, which facilitates vegetable growth and development. In addition, insect-proof nets can withstand strong winds and hail.

Methods for Fixing Insect-Proof Nets in Greenhouses
After selecting insect-proof nets of suitable specifications and good quality, the installation and fixing of the nets are also critical to planting outcomes.
I. Fixing Method for Open-Type Greenhouse Insect-Proof Nets
The upper edge of the greenhouse insect-proof net is fixed with film locking grooves and springs, and rolling devices and film rollers are installed at the bottom. This method is ideal for greenhouses with fewer pests and favorable ventilation.
The fixing method for open-type greenhouses features simple operation and high flexibility, allowing indoor temperature adjustment at any time according to climate changes.
II. Stable-Type Fixing Method for Greenhouse Insect-Proof Nets
This approach applies to greenhouses equipped with mandatory ventilation systems. Stretch the insect-proof net evenly around the greenhouse perimeter and secure all edges using film locking grooves and springs.
The above introduces two simple methods for fixing greenhouse insect-proof nets.

PVC window screen
2026-06-16
PVC window screens are either woven from PVC or made with PVC as a component in the material. PVC, short for polyvinyl chloride, is one of the most widely produced plastic products globally. It is inexpensive and widely used. PVC resin appears as a white or light yellow powder. By adding various additives depending on specific applications, PVC plastics can exhibit different physical and mechanical properties. When appropriate amounts of plasticizers are added to PVC resin, it can be processed into a variety of rigid, flexible, and transparent products. PVC window screens are those made from PVC or using PVC as the primary raw material in their construction. Common types include vinyl screens, plastic screens, and screens with PVC coating over other materials—such as invisible screens or fiberglass screens. For example, fiberglass screens are primarily made of glass fiber coated with plastic, while PVC galvanized screens use zinc-coated materials.
What are the advantages of PVC window screens? One major benefit is their resistance to moisture. Thanks to PVC's waterproof nature, these screens generally do not deteriorate when exposed to water, making this their greatest advantage.
However, they also have drawbacks. PVC is highly sensitive to prolonged sun exposure. After about five years under direct sunlight, the screen may begin to peel or crack.
